Grene Solutions acquires reco & invests in the circular solutions of the future
Kolding, June 2, 2025 – Grene Solutions A/S, a global supplier of industrial tarpaulin solutions for the wind industry, has acquired the Danish company reco, formerly known as Tarprec. With the acquisition, Grene Solutions strengthens its position within the circular economy and takes a strategic step towards developing solutions that cover the entire product life cycle, from design to recycling.
reco is known for their ability to turn waste into a resource and sustainability into a tangible part of the business. From its headquarters in Horsens, reco helps companies and municipalities solve complex waste challenges through a combination of physical resource management, data-driven insight and process optimization. Their software solutions and consulting make it easy to document and improve sustainability efforts, and not least to create value from what was previously considered garbage.
Together with Grene Solutions, reco becomes a key player in expanding the range of circular solutions. While Grene Solutions creates long-lasting products for the global wind industry, reco now adds expertise in resource mapping, waste data and hands-on implementation of circular processes. It is a match between industry and innovation, and a shared mission to minimize waste and maximize potential.
ESG reporting made easy
The acquisition also has a clear ESG dimension: reco strengthens Grene Solutions’ ability to document and deliver on both environmental, social and management parameters. With increased data availability and concrete tools to measure and optimize environmental footprint, the collaboration directly contributes to improving ESG reporting and making sustainability an integrated part of the business – not just an appendix to the strategy.
For customers, this means access to solutions that make it easier to meet their own ESG goals and reporting requirements – for example, via traceable waste data, improved CO₂ documentation and concrete optimization of resource consumption. reco will continue as an independent brand under Grene Solutions and will retain its proud-nerdy personality, but still with the same focus on transparency, creativity and technical ingenuity.
